You only REALLY learn by experience.
In fact, they say that when you read a book, for example, you only retain about
10% of it.
But if you go use the information, then you'll retain it.
Also, you can learn from all the millionaires and billionaires you want, but you're
never going to retain it all or quite understand where they're coming from until
you experience the ups and downs of getting out there and doing business.
Bryan: Yea, you can have the greatest teacher in the world, but until you get
in and get your hands dirty and really start to understand how what you're
learning or experiencing actually works, it's not the same.
You'll be amazed at what you can find out on your own by just digging in and
really trying to learn and put into place the things you've been told.
You find out all kinds of angles and things you would only find out by doing it
and not just "hearing" about it.
me: About these Bonus Tactics you mentioned.
I've always known they've worked, but have been too lazy to use them.
How are these guys getting so many different products together to offer as a
bonus to products they're selling as an affiliate?
Bryan: To be honest I don't know where they get their bonuses from just
because I don't ask or try to find out, but coming up with bonuses is pretty
easy.
You can work deals with the vendors to see if they have bonuses for your list.

Just simply ask them for one.
You can take one of your own products, use a product you have yet to release,
discount some high end product you have as a bonus, find a good plugin that
was sold through a PLR site and use that.
There's a million ways to come up with bonuses, the key is to find things or
create things that will complement the offer that you are promoting.
me: That's some really solid advice.
So to summarize...
These top elite JVZoo affiliates are doing 3 things.
1. They're looking for products that have a backend built out so they can get
commissions on multiple products.
2. They're doing a good job of warming up people to order, which can be
studied by being on good lists.
3. They're offering bonuses along with the products they're offering as an
affiliate.
Bryan: Personally I think that's what top affiliates are doing everywhere.
As an affiliate your main goal is to find a way to build up trust with your
subscribers (if you're doing mailings) by promoting good quality products that
will help them.
This way when they see an email from you, they don't think "oh damn, here we
go again, what's being pitched today".
They think more "ok cool, let's see what is being explained or what's new that
can help me out".

It's a fine line so to speak but definitely one that you can find the common
ground on.
That's the main goal, the other things are just smart marketing on the affiliates
part.
Finding funnels with multiple products in it to increase your bottom line is a
smart thing to do, that's just a fact.
And then giving an incentive or a little extra motivation to get someone who
might be sitting on the fence the choice to make a move has been going on for
years.
Again, all these things are not new, top affiliates have been doing these things
for years. It worked then and it still works now.
The more creative you can get the better, just like with anything.
me: It's good to know some things never change.
So if you can get these things engrained in your marketing, then you could
potentially use them for years.
Bryan: Why not, there's plenty of top affiliates who have been doing it for
years and they're still rolling along quite well:)

Let Your Day 0 E-Mail
Kill 2 Birds With 1 Stone
You could also integrate the link to the page you re trying to promote and as a
bonus of your day zero email.
When you send out that day zero email, it delivers the product they opted in for.
You can also say:
Here s a great bonus, which could be something like an auto webinar that sells
a high-ticket product.
You can attach a PDF to any email as well, and it works like a grabber sort of
like in direct mail.
With direct mail grabbers you can put a penny at the top of the page and
people will wonder what it is and make them open it up.
Well, in email marketing you ll have the little attachment symbol on the email in
your inbox, so they ll see the attachment.
It ll draw their eye toward the email that you sent.
They ll also get what you attached to it, which can be a PDF promoting anything
you want to promote or it could be a viral report, anything that leads back to
generating more traffic to the offers you re trying to generate to.
It could also be a PDF that s an ad similar to the one we talked about stuffing
inside of a zip file.
When you use a double opt-in, you can integrate a banner on that double opt-in
confirmation page.

I ve actually done really well with this in the past.
Actually, when continuity was working well, I would integrate this a lot.
I don t use double opt-in anymore.
But if you do use double opt-in, let s say this does work really well; so after they
sign up to your opt-in form, say:
Thanks for signing up. Your freebie is being mailed to you now, or your
confirmation email is being mailed to you now.
Then say:
Please take advantage of your bonus below or something like that.
Have it be similar to a download page banner, and have it link to an auto
webinar that sells some kind of high-ticket program.
